Fell walking

Living in the heart of the Lake District Evan has been enjoying the fells since he could walk but in the last few years they have become a huge part of both our lives.

As a little boy he had an exquisite amount of energy but became easily over stimulated and distressed. Daily life had become constant challenge for him.

I quickly discovered that when he was on the hill Evan came to life.

On the mountains he was truly free.

So together we walked.

Over the last 5 years he has walked an incredible amount.Including Scafell Pike on his 7th Birthday,Sharp edge,Striding edge and the wonderful Crib Goch route up Snowdon.

Happy to walk for hours at a time he  completed  the ‘Yorkshire 3 peaks’ challenge in  well under 11 hours this June

Weather permitting we plan and walk a route several times a week all year round.

We do a great deal of our schooling on the fells as it makes learning easy when he is happy and relaxed.

Evan has completed 187 of the Wainwright walks however we re-visit fells in different conditions and explore different routes.Local fells Like Catbells and Walla Crag are our morning dog walk so have been done hundreds of times.
